The Year of Living Like Jesus
Ed Dobson

quoteleftAndy worked with me on my latest book. Without his help the book would have been nowhere near as well-written. During the first edit he raised hundreds of questions that made it more readable, then he came to Florida for several days to help me organize the book. His contributions were significant and I hate to think what the book would have been without his help.quoteright

I've had the privilege of working with some excellent editors over the course of a career in which I've managed to support myself exclusively as an author. When I was first starting out, I was edited by Richard Marek (Robert Ludlum's editor), then by Juris Jurjevics who founded The Soho Press and who has written successful novels himself. I was also edited by the late Tom Congdon, who edited Jaws and Midnight Express among many other best sellers.

Andy Meisenheimer was my editor for my latest three spy thrillers. I can honestly say that Andy's skills are equal to if not superior to the others I just mentioned. Run my name through a search at Amazon.com and look at the reader reviews for Conspiracy In Kiev, Midnight in Madrid and eventually Countdown in Cairo; I credit Andy with launching the series successfully, helping me keep the stories smooth and quickly paced, and having a keen eye on what works line to line as well as overall in a novel.

These days, it is more difficult than ever to get published. A professional eye on a manuscript before submission and a guiding hand through the submission process by someone who knows the business is often the difference between acceptance and rejection from a publisher. Andy knows books and knows the business. I don't know anyone I would currently recommend more highly to work with on the successful creation of a published manuscript.
- Noel Hynd, author of Flowers From Berlin, Ghosts, Cemetery of Angels, The Enemy Within.

Thin Places: a memoir
Mary DeMuth

quoteleftAndy has taken my writing from good to great. He's pushed me far beyond what I thought I could accomplish in my stories. He's smart, wise, instinctive, and spot on in his editorial assessments. If I could have every single book I ever write edited by Andy, I would be truly satisfied.quoteright

Andy was much more than just my editor, he was my Humor Accountability Partner. I knew that if I tried to turn in anything that was only mildly funny, Andy would be there to challenge me, stretch me and ultimately amplify the writing. I am a huge fan of Andy and the considerable awesomeness he generously offers.

quoteleftAndy is a valuable asset to any company, author, or team. His writing skills, knowledge of writing, and passion for books is unparalleled. He possesses the willingness to go not just the extra mile, but across an extra state or two in order to get an end product that is the best it can be. Not only is he a talented writer himself, but he knows the craft of writing and knows how to guide others so they can accurately reflect their voice in print. As an editor, he wholly embraces that role of being an advocate for both the reader and the author. Authors love working with him, and colleagues will appreciate his attention to detail, sense of humor, and excitement for each project.quoteright

Andy Meisenheimer is more than an editor. He's a devoted student of the craft, a mentor, a teacher, a storyteller, a real pro-one with the rare ability to coax more out of a story than its teller ever imagined. I trusted Andy with both of my novels and he made them betterÉand he did so without sacrificing my original vision or voice. He stretched my thinking, sometimes till it hurt. But I'm a better writer today because of Andy.
